How do I activate my Debit Card?
Call 1-866-543-5073. You must have your PIN to activate your card.

How do I change my Debit Card PIN?
Call 1-866-297-3411. You must have current PIN to make change.

What if I don’t know my current Debit Card PIN?
Call your local Service 1 FCU location and we will reset your PIN or request your current PIN be sent to you.

How do I order checks?
You can order checks online at reorder.libertysite.com or any Service 1 FCU location.

Is there a fee for your checking?
No, our checking is FREE.

How much does it cost to transfer a loan from another financial institution to S1FCU?
We do not charge you to transfer a closed-ended loan such as an auto loan. We do offer mortgages at our Michigan locations and costs to transfer a mortgage loan will vary.

Do you offer home mortgage loans?
We offer home mortgages at our Michigan offices only.

Can I still get a loan if I don’t have perfect credit?
We review all loan applications and take every situation into consideration.

What are your credit card interest rates?
We offer a no-fee Visa Credit Card with a low, fixed rate of 9.9% APR.

Is there a fee for using the ATM?
Members receive 4 withdrawals, 4 transfers, and 2 inquiries per month FREE. If these numbers are exceeded, transactions are $1.00 each. Transactions are valid at ATMs owned by Service 1 as well as those in the Co-Op Network. Other ATMs outside of this network may assess a fee.

Do you have Online Bill Pay?
Yes, we offer Online Bill Pay FREE to our membership. Visit www.service1fcu.com and simply click on the It’sMe247 log in to get started.

How do I reset my pin on Home Banking if I have not used it in over 60 days?
Call your local Service 1 FCU office and we would be happy to assist you.

How long do I have to wait for my new debit card?
Members who open their account at our Main Office on Sherman Blvd. in Muskegon may receive a new card and PIN within a matter of minutes. Cards that are mailed from our processor can take between 5 to 10 business days. You will receive your PIN first followed by your card several days later.

How do I change my address with the credit union?
You can change your address online in It’sMe247 Online Banking or by calling or stopping in at any Service 1 FCU location.

Is my money insured?
Yes, your money is insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) for up to $250,000.

Can my family or friends that are not members on my account at S1FCU make withdrawals or deposits into my account?
Non-members can make deposits into your account but not withdrawals. They are also not permitted to see your balances.

Do I have to close my account if I move out of state?
No, you do not have to close your account. You can access your money via It’sMe247 Online Banking and at our Shared Branch locations, visit http://search.xtendcu.com/branches/find/xtend to find one near you.

Membership

What is the difference between a credit union and a bank?
Credit Unions are not-for-profit financial cooperatives owned by members and governed by a board of directors elected by, and from among, those members. Usually there is a common bond among the members, such as belonging to the same organization or living in the same geographical area. Credit unions accept deposits from their members and use them to make short-term loans. Deposits are regarded as purchases of shares, and earnings of the credit union are paid out to members with lower interest rates on loans and higher savings rates.

Banks are community, regional or national for-profit business corporations owned by private investors and governed by a board of directors chosen by the stockholders.

What are the benefits of membership at Service 1 FCU?
At Service 1 Federal Credit Union you are a member, not a customer. Everyone who belongs to the credit union is an owner of the credit union and is known as a member.

Service 1 Federal Credit Union is a federally chartered credit union that is insured and regulated by the federal government. All credit unions have membership eligibility requirements. Once you join, membership at Service 1 Federal Credit Union can last a lifetime.

How can I join?
Service 1 Federal Credit Union’s field of membership consists of over 350 companies from the Muskegon, Mobile and Neosho areas. We work closely with these companies to ensure that their credit union experience is a good one. Any person who is employed by a company that is affiliated with Service 1 Federal Credit Union is eligible to become a member simply by depositing $5.00 into a Share Account. Residents of Stone and Barry Counties in Missouri are also eligible.

Immediate family such as spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, or grandchild of a member are also eligible for membership. For more information on individual or corporate membership eligibility contact Service 1 Federal Credit Union at 1-231-739-5068.

Transfers/Wires

How do I set up direct deposit or automatic payments?
Direct Deposit can be set up with your payroll provider. You will need to provide them with our routing number and your account number.

How do I set up ACH transfers from savings or checking?
You can set up ACH Transfers through It’sMe247 Online Banking or with an MSR at any Service 1 FCU location.

Can I set up payments from my S1FCU account to another financial institution?
Yes, this can be done through Online Bill Pay or our A2A, which requires filling out paperwork with an MSR.

Can I set up payments from another financial institution to my S1FCU account?
Yes, this can be done through A2A, which requires filling out paperwork with an MSR.

How do I wire money?
To wire money you must come to the credit union to complete a wire transfer form. Domestic outgoing wire transfers are $15.00.

Do I need an appointment to speak with a loan officer?
You do not need an appointment to speak with a loan officer; however, we do encourage you to set one to ensure you are served in a timely manner.

Why did the credit union change the website?
We have updated the website to make it more user-friendly and provide the information you need in an easy-to-navigate manner. We have also added new tools such as financial calculators and a search function.

If I deposit funds into my account does it go into my account right away?
If you deposit funds into your account at a Service 1 FCU location, yes, the money is available in your account right away. If you are depositing a check there may be a temporary hold placed on it.

Do you have a coin machine?
Yes, we have a coin machine at our Lakes Mall Branch in Muskegon. Service 1 Federal Credit Union members are assessed a nominal 5% fee (of total deposit) when using the coin machine. Non-members are invited to use the coin machine for a 10% fee (of total deposit). Service 1 FCU offers regular “Coin Machine Giveback” events during which time fees are waived for members. Check back periodically for information about giveback events, and like our Facebook page for advance notice of events and more!

Does the credit union have a notary service?
Yes, the credit union offers a notary service.
