What is an Interactive Teller Machine (ITM)?

An Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) is like an ATM machine with innovative technology and a personal touch! ITMs feature full ATM functionality PLUS technology that allows users to perform more advanced transactions or speak to a live Video Teller at Service 1 FCU with the tap of the screen. 

What types of transactions can I perform at an ITM?

Use ITMs just as you would traditional ATMs—to get cash, check account balances, and more—PLUS enjoy enhanced banking such as:

  • Make a loan or credit card payment
  • Transfer funds
  • Deposit checks and cash—no deposit slip necessary!
  • Cash a check
  • Get cash in preferred denominations—down to the nearest $1!
  • Request video teller assistance* for transactions or for help with product or service questions
  • and more!

Which Service 1 FCU locations have ITMs?

Drive-up ITMs are available at the following locations:

  • Lakes Mall branch (MI) | 1625 Eastwind at Harvey St. in Fruitport Twp. (Week of August 26)
  • SB branch (MI) | 991 W. Broadway Ave., in Roosevelt Park (Week of August 26)

Can I use the ITM after hours?

Yes! Even after business hours, Service 1 FCU ITMs provide the same convenience of a 24/7 ATM—PLUS enhanced transaction capabilities. Video teller assistance is available only during normal business hours.

Is ITM technology secure?

Yes, using an ITM is a secure way to conduct banking transactions. Be sure to exercise the same caution you would at any ATM while entering personal information (PIN or SSN).

What languages are available at the ITM?

Service 1 FCU ITMs are fully functional in both English and Spanish.

I have a business account at Service 1 FCU. Can I use the ITM?

Yes! As an authorized signer for your business, you can complete most typical branch transactions by using your card + PIN (personal identification number). If you do not have a Service 1 FCU card, a Video Teller can assist you during business hours with a valid driver license or other government-issued ID.

The ITM is not working properly or the screen is black; what should I do?

What is a video teller?

The same friendly faces you see in the lobby, through the ITM's video screen! A Service 1 FCU Video Teller uses the ITM video screen to interact with members in real time* to assist with most in-branch transactions. Your video teller may provide outstanding service from a remote location or from one of our regional offices.

When am I able to speak to a video teller?

Service 1 FCU's live video tellers are available during regular business hours at branch locations with enabled ITMs. Simply touch the “help” button on the screen to be connected.

Will an ITM-assisted transaction take longer than a teller transaction in the branch?

ITM transactions with video tellers are commonly quicker than in-branch transactions. Our seasoned Video Teller can serve you efficiently without you having to leave your vehicle!

Can I use the ITM without speaking to a video teller?

Absolutely! Follow the on-screen prompts for quick self-service that’ll have you on your way in a fraction of the time it takes to conduct an in-branch transaction. Use the touchscreen to request assistance at any time during your transaction.*

How will a video teller verify my identity?

Our Video Teller providing video teller service will use the same authentication procedure as our in-branch tellers before processing any transactions.

Is there a cost to request help from an ITM video teller?

No, the ITMs enhanced services and technology are FREE member perks! We’re always seeking ways to make banking with Service 1 FCU more convenient!

How do I get my account statement using an ITM?

Sign into It’sMe247 Online Banking to view or download your account statement at any time using a desktop computer, tablet or smartphone. Up to 18 months of account statements are available! Account statements are currently unavailable at ITMs.

Can I update my account information at an ITM?

For security purposes, changes to your contact information or other personal details must be requested in secure It’sMe247 Online Banking or in-person at any Service 1 FCU branch. Download the mobile app for quick and easy access: App Store for iOS | Google Play Store for Android

It’s Saturday and I need a new or replacement, debit and credit card; can I get one at an ITM?

ITM machines cannot print or dispense new cards. To obtain a new or replacement card on a Saturday, visit our convenient Norton Shores branch (1075 E. Sherman Blvd.) between 9:00A and 12:00P on any non-federal holiday for quick, and convenient card replacement. For branch information, please visit our Locations & Hours page.

ITM Transactions

Do I need a Service 1 FCU card to use an ITM?

For self-service transactions or to use the ITM after business hours, a Service 1 FCU card + PIN number will be used for identity verification. This keeps member information safe and reduces the chance of unauthorized activity. 

Don't have a Service 1 FCU card? No problem! Our Video Teller can verify your identity to serve you at the ITM with your valid driver license or government-issued ID.

Can I make loan payments through an ITM?

Yes, make payments on your Service 1 FCU loans at ITMs! Simply follow the prompts on the screen or ask the video teller for assistance* to ensure your payment is processed correctly.

If paying with a check, please ensure your check payment matches your regular payment amount. Otherwise, simply deposit your payment check into a savings or checking account and transfer your payment—all at the ITM!**

Can I make a partial or interest-only loan payment using a check?

To use a check to make a loan payment via ITM, the check amount must exactly match your monthly loan payment. To pay a different amount, deposit your check first, then make your loan payment with an instant funds transfer.**

For assistance with releasing a hold on your loan payment check to complete a transfer, request assistance from a video teller or contact a Service 1 FCU Contact Center Representative (800) 879-9697. 

I deposited a check using an ITM but my funds were not available to transfer; why?

Checks deposited for payments may not be immediately released or they may be placed on a brief hold.

For assistance with releasing a hold on your loan payment check to complete a transfer, select "help" for a Video Teller or contact a Service 1 FCU Contact Center Representative (800) 879-9697.

To monitor availability of funds and complete a transfer, sign into your account in It’sMe247 Online Banking.

How soon will I see a cash deposit available in my account?

For member deposits, cash deposited at the ITM will be available immediately. Check deposits may or may not be immediately released. For assistance with releasing a check hold on your account, request assistance from a Video Teller or speak with someone in our Contact Center by calling (800) 879.9697 for prompt service.

Can I get cashier's checks and money orders at an ITM?

No, ITMs are unable print cashier’s checks or money orders. To obtain these items, please visit your nearest Service 1 FCU branch lobby during normal business hours. 

What bills (denominations) can I get at the ITM?

Service 1 FCU ITMs will dispense $100s, $20s, $5s, and $1s.

What can I deposit in the ITM?

Service 1 FCU ITMs accept check deposits and any denominations (bills) of United States currency. The ITM will dispense $100s, $20s, $5s, and $1s. The ITM will not accept envelopes, coins, or foreign currency for deposit.

Can I use coins in the ITM?

Service 1 FCU's ITMs are cash only and do not carry coin. Similar to ATM functionality, ITMs cannot accept or process coin. No coins are dispensed when withdrawing funds, cashing checks, making loan payments, etc. Any change amounts listed on checks for cashing or cash back will be deposited into your Service 1 FCU account. To view your change deposit, sign into your account in It’sMe247 Online Banking.

I’m a non-member but use Service 1 FCU ATMs frequently via Shared Branching; can I still do this at an ITM?

Yes, your functionality of Service 1 FCU's ITM will not change from our previous ATMs. You will now be able to receive advanced options for denominations for your withdrawals—down to the nearest $1! For Shared Branching transactions requiring Service 1 FCU assistance in the lobby or drive-thru, please visit your nearest branch lobby for assistance.
