LOAN OFFICER – NEOSHO, MO

Neosho, MO (full-time)—Service 1 FCU, a progressive credit union based in West Michigan, is seeking a driven professional to fill the position of Full-Time Loan Officer. Candidate must be self-motivated, team oriented and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and federal regulations. Employees in this position will be trained to assist members and potential members with their credit union lending needs, explain and cross-sell services and products, set up new memberships, process loan requests, and respond to member questions and concerns. Previous consumer lending experience and advanced education preferred. Essential functions include:

  • Assist members with the loan application process in person, via phone and/or electronically
  • Calculate debt-to-income and other ratios for loan applicants
  • Determine collateral needs and payment plans for applicants
  • Make determinations for loan approvals
  • Work with member to provide alternative loan options, if required
  • Complete loan documents, verify accuracy, and disburse approved loans
  • Cross-sell lending and other credit union products

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 2 years of college level coursework in a related field preferred
  • 3-5 years lending experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Administer group benefit plans and payroll
  • Oversee and support supervisors in performance evaluation, coaching, and discipline
  • Recruit and effectively onboard new team members
  • Provide and support coaching efforts and ongoing training for team members

  • assist in the development, coordination, execution and analysis of the marketing plan, marketing campaigns and promotions, annual or special events, public relations, community serivce and social media/analytics
  • research industry trends and demographics to help develop products and services or marketing programs
  • proficient use of Adobe Creative Cloud applications in the creation of marketing materials
  • assist with website and social media content, plans and maintenance
  • maintain vendor relationships for the production of marketing materials and promotions/events

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of college level coursework in marketing, advertising or a related field
  • 3-5 years marketing and/or design experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred

Muskegon, MI (full-time)—Service 1 FCU, a progressive credit union based in West Michigan, is seeking a Head Teller for its Lakes Mall branch. The Head Teller is responsible for the overall supervision of the Member Service Representative (MSR) area. Responsibilities include guiding and advising MSRs in the efficient and accurate handling of member needs, solving member problems, resolving team member issues, reviewing and coaching MSRs, helping with complex work-related matters, and performing all MSR functions as needed. Successful applicants must have strong interpersonal skills, be proactive and hands on, and have the ability to lead and make independent judgments and decisions. Previous supervisory experience and advanced education preferred.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • 2 years of college level coursework or advanced education preferred, OR
  • 3 years teller experience and 1 year management experience, OR
